After living in my house 16 years the outside soil stack is leaking! It’s been bodged as I can see but I need to replace it. I was thinking to cut off above floor, fit a straight coupler, pipe to branch & connect up. It was always going to happen!

Had to do exactly that last year. Worked out fine with a coupler. I needed a new branch which was smothered in silicone (by me hoping the drips would piss off but they never do!!) Had a bit of trouble finding the right branch fitting. Got it in the end. Attachment DeletedHad a spare branch so didn't want to go the strap-on route

Is it just me being a dafty or is (what looks like a 40mm) tee for the waste coming out the wall pointing in the wrong direction away from the stack? Maybe that's ok ?
On the plus side, at least your stack is external !

I would see how it measures out but from the joint above the decking it all looking straight forward.

bit off topic but a few years ago my daughter and her boyfriend bought(with a full structure and damp survey) a old semi in manchester with a number of issues including rotten joists under a suspended floor(4 inchs of water down there),they rip out the floor and start replacing the joists and while I'm cleaning out an old fireplace base in the now drained floor I get the distinct spell of piss-a fact which I duly pass on "stinks of piss down here"-anyway he gets some green dye and flush's the upstairs loo, before he gets down the stairs its coming out of the wall.Turns out the external black metal soil pipe has rotted away under the concrete and instea of going down the salt clay pipe a fair amount is coming straight through the wall, manged to bodge it until he replaced it with the black plastic pipe in the photos above which triggered the memory
