I don't know if its an age thing but. I fins a radio a distraction at work, In my 20's 30's 40,s and fifties, I'd go back home if i'd forgotton my radio it was essential for knowing the time, keeping up with the news, haveing a little dance when some rock n roll came on, then all of a sudden I could not finf a decent station to keep my interst and you'd hear me shouting to others, " Hoi, turn that fuckin' Din down of I'll smash it a million quarters " to which the reply was/is, " fuck off you miserable owd basterd, get home to your pipe and slippers "

There’s so many DAB stations now with the music you like. I sometimes put in Radio Punjab to wind the Joiners up😄😄

I was looking for a new site radio & nearly bought a Makita one at over 70 quid. However I bought this one from Aldi yesterday for £24. DAB, FM, Bluetooth 3 Year Warranty it’s a wee belter; Specially made site radios - in my day it was any old radio that we could get old of. One Brickie adapted a radio to run on an industrial battery, it was great free music at the gaffers expense! I can see that Brickie and his labourer running full pelt towards the kitchen when the thing caught fire. Flames and black smoke were rising from it when they looked in from outside the Kitchen window . I've been glad of a radio though at times especially when I'm working alone. Bluetooth eh, I've got a couple of gold ones !

I can see it now. MC Plumb, with a not so strategically placed plant pot, keyboards surrounding him, ear 'phones askew, "scratching" a black pudding, Sir Dick on percussion, bashing, er, well, anything with whatever comes to hand...., and the rest of the Brew Cabin as backing musicians/dancers. Bagsy one of the dancers!, I've been told I look good in a pencil skirt and 70 Denier! (Damn, typing out loud again...) Anyone else have a skill/want/perverse need to join the super group? Probably not many royalties, but you can tell the (great, great) grandkids you were there! beer drinker
