My cold water pipe has been banging like a good un for a long time. So I fitted a shock arrester. But the bang as the taps are first opened still goes on, well not anymore! Who can guess what the cure was? ??

Who can guess what the cure was? ?? None return valve just before the offending valve (tap) and a bit extra clipping up support to the pipework.

Not got a scooby doo, mate. Looked at spec don't say anything about cl nipple, wonder if it's to do with flush valve itself? Looks like a good water inlet ππΌππΌππΌ

Thinking logically, at 028 in the video he's talking about an adjustable water level which will vary according to the cistern it's being fitted in. I'd assume the critical level is the max level that the water is allowed to rise in the cistern before it starts to overflow.
The firm I work for we fit mainly Siamp valves and I too have never fitted a flomaster.

I found the secret is to measure the pre filled current cistern water level and set the shank at that reading which works for me - just puzzled what the nipple is for? ?

Are they compatible with other siamp flush valves?

I only carry the optima 49 flush valve, which is a solid push button plastic one that you can adjust the height of, the optima 50 looks like a cable push button version. I've had a look on the internet and it looks to me as if they could swap without uncoupling the cistern.
I also carry the Wirquin Flush Valve Kit - which is a cable that you can fit in almost any cistern, even convert from an handle to a push button (you get a fill valve and bolt kit, washer all in the kit. They're very useful for an off the van WC fix.

Cheers c/f, my toilets at home are siamp, when the button is removed it's a pain in the ass to get it to flush correct again! Going to swap for the optium 50 when it brakes down. Think the ones that are in are called "storm"...ππΌthanks c/f.
