We’re all guilty of buying too many tools, thinking it’ll improve our skills, but it doesn’t. This video reminded me of one of the best Joiners I’ve ever known. 1st class skill & speed, but rusty old tools in a sack, I hope you enjoy this as much as I;

absolutly fantastic, I'm in awe of these skilled people, Every time i see a cathedral I wonder how the fuck did they build this without a fork lift truck, only hammers ,chisels and sheer brute force and made a building that has stood the test of time and looks beautiful with no jagged edges, yet these trademen got food water and little else, I'm so glad they did it for us to see, and also fucking glad, I live in this age were working is easier and better paid, I recon any good work I have done, no one will see in 100 years because, this planet will self destruct due to greed,

Great vid, Dick. Though you would have thought he'd make himself a decent fookin work bench with all his skills.

Woody I think it's part of their ability to work in and with the worst of everything, yet manage to produce excellence and nothing's wasted. In fact they are what the system is wishing us to be "learn to work more sustainably!"X

Great video and totally in awe of that.
I wonder what that contraption was in the background at the end of the video?

Being a Dafty, I sometimes wonder if mankind started again from scratch with nothing except the knowledge, how long would it take to put a man on the moon, and mass produce cars, smartphones etc. (Not to mention central heating of course!)
So literally having to start with nothing more than branches from trees and dirt on the ground but with all the knowledge of how to do it how many years would it be ?
