Hi all, Do I need to put a drain off on each rad? It's good practice in my opinion to fit them on all rads and a must for downstairs rads or you'll give yourself unnecessary hassle.

I'd fit them to all the downstairs, I never bother with the upstairs, as battle says, it makes life easy for taking rads off in the future but, in my view the drain offs are unsightly and catching your toe at night going for a piss on one is fuckin painfull,

Thanks Battle and Tom! I'll definitely do the downstairs, probably not up now. A couple of months ago I got up for a pee, and walked into the wall...! I've never had an eye that size and not cut! I'll steer clear of broken toes!

its weird how the slightest little thing sticking out you kick when you're bare foot, I once walked into an open wardrobe door. it was a two prong attack, toe and head, followed by the obligatory " FUCKIN HELL" which woke mrs plum up, I stubbed my toe and cut my eye, there was blood all down my face, PJ's and floor,

AH, the good old "double whammy"! Did the good Lady Plunb rush to your aid, or, the vision I have, tell you to shut up, roll over to the space you vacated, and let you get on with it?

I once woke up in the middle of the night howling in pain from my eye. Turned out I'd rolled over out of bed and whacked my eye on the corner of cabinet on the way down. Don't have cabinets next to the bed anymore !

Some of the rad valves have drain off & don’t look too bad in chrome.
