Just helped a friend fix a boiler. New heat exchangers All ok. I'd really like to get into gas etc. But he works for a company so I can't tag along in week. Only if he gets private weekend work.   |

I find boilers hard now, i can suss what the problem is mostly but its getting my hands round the confined spaces and seeing is a big problem too, I wear varifocals and its finding to focus you need at a distance, its usually dark as well, i give boilers a swerve now, 10 years ago boilers were 80% of my work,

It was an interesting hour. Now into garden maintenance 80% until around Oct. once that's over I'm going to try to plumb more & more. Make the effort
Got a toilet siphon to change Monday afternoon

Ah , the dreaded plate exchanger clogged / blocked.......What i usually do with these is after removing them , pop down to a local petrol station thats got a jet wash and give them a good blast of high pressure water for a few minutes , in most cases that will clean them completely and then fit some new o rings and stick it back in the boiler , bob's your uncle..........  |
