hi lads and lasses
im fitting an unvented cylinder at home and my stopcock is under the sink. It’s in 15mm so I’ll be replacing it with 22mm. Trouble is access. I need to remove the back panel without smashing the bejezis out of it.
Is there a recognised tidy gentlemanly way of removing it so I can put it back after and not get a bollicking off the Mrs for being heavy handed?

couple of drilled holes ( carefull of pipe locations) jig saw the amount you need out then, fit battens across to refix later, then if she is picky, get a square of white hardboard and fix that to the back, it will hide the cut out,

If it’s a Hardboard dummy back on the unit, undo any screws & use a set of suckers to remove it.

No matter what you do you'll be in for a bollicking anyway Put a big box of shit that nobody uses in front of the damage afterwards, that's worked for me!!

If I can't Spring it apart with my pallet knifes I move to a multi tool and and craft knife - reassemble with a white plastic H trim and double side sticky tape technique.
