Went to first fix replacing a shower with a bar shower and wall panels yesterday, was gutted to see no wooden studs, just those wobbly flimsy metal studs, god knows what developers are thinking using that shite. Anyway, I remembered toms top tip from about a year or so ago and voila Happy days. Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

By adding some proper materials, you have improved the structural integrity of the whole of that jerry-built house.
What passes for building standards these days is shocking. Wouldn't touch anything built after the 70s. Preferably something a bit earlier, but no crumbly old Victorian money-pits.

Oi! I've got a Victorian money pit! Not crumbling. Yet... Slate roof might need some tlc at some point though...

Finished it today. Got to 5pm and I was siliconing, used 4 tubes to stick the panels up and pigging ran out of silicone with about 3 feet of edging still to do, just over an hour and a half round trip to pick up some more at that time, looks good though, glad it's finished Attachment Deleted
