You know the jobs you get asked to do and you think 'eww that's gonna be a pain in the arse'?
I've been putting this job off for months to take out a steam cabin thing and put in a standard cubicle with shower panels and an electric shower.
Started it today, it's a tiny flat and the cabin is wired into the mains electricity and is plumbed from an immersion tank via a pump.
Got there this afternoon and turned the water off, opened the taps to drain the cylinder and forgot to turn the immersion off, I could hear it hissing from the next room, I'll find out if it still works tomorrow if the water's cold, oops!
Apart from taking the doors off and isolating the water(and maybe melting the immersion), that's all I did.
I didn't have a proper look when I priced up and I thought it would come apart with a few screws like a standard enclosure, I was wrong. It's 1000mm x 1000mm x 2200mm and it doesn't come apart and the doors I'd need to get it through to get it outside are about 700mm wide, so going back with my grinder in the morning. I'm guessing they took the window out to get it in there, or the flat was built round it.
It's something like the one on this link but it's floor to ceiling and only about 3 inches from the built in basin...

I should have gone with my gut and said I was too busy, it'll be grand when it's done but I'm not looking forward to it
