Steam cabin woes

Begs the question, how does the pub landlord who has a "gents" toilets in a really bad state - really grim - persuade a plumber to fix a leak there? I guess beer might help but really, its not a nice working environment for a skilled engineer - especially if pub is still open...

I'd probably try "Hello PB....how r u blah blah.......small leak in one of the rooms downstairs.....looks like the pipe is nicely exposed, not painted or anything......could you take a look? "
