The regin bungs works on 28mm, as for air locks just give any air locked pipes a blast of mains pressure up it👍👍👍👍 When you know about air locks it’s a simpler process but in my opinion a non plumber dafty providing advice could land people in all sorts of problems. I know the advice is given with the best intentions but sometimes you need to leave the advice out. Don’t touch that keyboard!! If I had come on here as a non-plumber or an apprentice plumber giving advice as if I'm a timed-served plumber (are you?) I could understand you. But I don't do that. Its a public forum and if you want me to piss off I will. Last time I bought the bungs from Toolstation they did not include a 28mm bung. Also there are some things a pumber might want to do differently because its quicker. Draining down takes some time but as a DIYer I don't like working with just a bit of rubber between me and 50 gallons. I know its fine it just scares me and I have the time to do it another way.

I once removed a pair of knickers from the cold water outlet of a feed tank!! It did make a perfect bung on the hot supply, so if you ever want a make shift just ask the tenant to take off her knickers!! It's an absolutely true story! Tappy,
