Attachment DeletedAnyone have a quick way of freeing these pieces of crap up? Can you spray a can of WD40 down the hole or something. They look good for a year or two then become trouble!!! Very stiff to pop up or down. Cheers

You can turn it & the plug will free up in most cases mate. I know there’s replacement mechanisms available for the Bristan ones.

I’d replace it. They’re not expensive.
You might get it going & it might not last long.

Exactly. Fitted a bathroom for my brother and used the click clack that came with the tap. Lasted exactly a year before the thing jammed open. Pulled the P O S out and put in a McAlpine. Feels like quality - as you'd expect.

What price are people paying for their Mcapine clicker wastes? I struggle to get them locally and have to buy online. These are £12.99 and are the 2 part ones which to me is a better design but I can't remember if they always line up with existing trap, also better for swapping in situ. ooh I have a tip for the tip thread... www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263462802694
