My mums neighbour has a problem
1960’s council house with original high flush cistern in black.
The flush lever is held by a metal u shaped thing & it’s broken so the lever wiggles about.
Any thoughts on this small part?
Cheers all

No. What I need isn’t the actual plastic lever it’s a piece of metal that sits in the groove on the cistern & keeps the lever in place when the lid goes on

Nothing like the satisfying, thunderous Niagara like rush of water you get from a proper, old school high-level cistern. The cling-ons don't stand a chance.

Amazing force of water in the old high level cistern, I recall my Granny using the outdoor lav as a washing machine when her twin-tub went on the blink!!

After Brexit all those fancy continental flush valves will have to be taken out as we return to the good ole high level British bog!

So, with flush valves & low capacity cisterns is to save water, but you need to flush the bog 20 times to get rid of the shite & skid marks!!
Here in Jockoland we’ve got one of the highest rainfalls in Europe, But we need to save water???!!!😟😟😟
Fucking EU, thankfully we’re out!! Well, if BoJo gets the finger out!!
