Bearswood is one thing but how can a big chain like B&Q recommend it ? They also said at one point "undo both nuts" and on screen at that time were both nuts on one side of the rad. It might well have confused a few DIYers.
Also I can't believe a DIYer would be advised to turn the rad upside down when its full of water? Even a small one would be tricky without it glugging everywhere. I'm thinking a plumber who has done it many times before might do it but it might also depend on the state of the floor ? Is it normal for a plumber to do it like that?

not normal for me Dafty, I always plug the bottom on both sides, if that black stuff gets on a carpet, it will make a mess,
