its the old " make them feel important" ploy, only tradesmen or people who can convince them, they are tradesmen, get to hold an account, plumbers and leccys only, All the bearswood browns have to queue in the screwfix store while us through the plumfix door, get a brew and a biccie That is spot on but maybe what they don't realise is it pisses off the other half of the customers who have to queue behind some woman asking the teenager behind the counter how to replace a light fitting. Nothing decent behind the counter in Bracknell or Wokingham that's for sure. Why would a decent pair work in a shop like that when they can earn double bending over at the photocopier in a proper office.

Is there any point in Plumbfix, all the prices as the same as Screwfix without the Vodka & Tonic added. Totally pointless, I mean they can’t be Trade prices like that???!!! I’m sure if you Cherry Pick some things they will be cheaper, but their end feed fitting prices are a joke!! None of their boilers are cheap!! Pointless!,!!! Totally pointless it seems. As you've shown before you get great prices for online bulk purchases of fittings etc.

Hi Guy's this is what I have found ............That is yes plumbfix & Screwfix are the same prices BUT if you get a PLumbfix account which is FREE When you go and pay for an item the price will be reduced down to somewhere very close to Toolstation and if at this point you ask for Price Match to Toolstation they will meet there price if not better it as where I am ( Camberley ) they will not be beaten so just ask Last Week I wanted a Aqualisa shower priced at £599.99 when I went to buy it I paid £549,99 so that's just about £50 in my pocket thank you......... So Guy's join up with your local Plumbfix ask for price match way you go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My locals are resonable on stock levels and there is always staff on hand to serve you unlike the merchants. As for the difference between trade and retail, free brew and doughnuts and occasional discount vouchers. Not a big deal but if you are using them anyway you may aswel sign up.

To get a plumbfix account you usually have to prove your qualifications with a certificate
Otherwise every diyer will be using the side door & drinking all the tea

Fuck all that fannying around Dollop, I’ll just use my local Indie Merchants👍 The ones near me are shite and its easier for me to get everything at one place. Screws, dust sheets, tools, whatever. I like that the prices are there to see so you can price jobs easily and can see all the options. No more having to quiz the monkey behind the counter and arguing a price.
