No I just use clear silicone Rocky it's all that's needed on smaller waste pipes, on 110mm pipe I use sand & cement

I find those pebbles seem to just break away and are as hard as hell up here.

Looks good to me and wish I knew about them earlier.
Shame they can't be fitted on after the pipe is already in place like pipe collars.
