Had to change a tap today in a utility room - no iso's stop tap in new kitchen larder cupboard with 2x2 running up either side of it, you can't turn the handle. Absolute wankers Kitchen fitters = failed at all other trades.

they are just another of the semi skilled workers we see everyday, Back in the day a joiner would do it but now because of a shortage of skilled workers we se kitchen fitters | window fitters | bedroom fitters | tilers -------------------------------------wankers floor layers | drive layers | meter fitters | oven cleaners | microwave oven service engineers |

Unreal! They should be taken out and Takes no effort to leave an opening. Just goes to show the level of their brain power. They probably don't know that it's a stop tap in the first place.

"Plumbing, Heating and Sanitary Engineers" was a sign on one of the vans that I used drive in the back in the 70s.
I hated driving that van around town, no good at all for a young un's street cred !
Agree totally about kitchen fitters and don't get me started on the gravity defying waste pipes that they always seem to specialise in!

Another speciality is boxing in boilers so you've got zero chance of access for service or repair. As long as it looks good for the custard, that's all that matters.

Glad to hear they're only semi-skilled. I'm about to fit a kitchen in a few weeks and wondering how difficult it will be. Might have already messed up getting hardwood worktop early. Its in shrink wrap on batons on the floor but I'm told I should leave it in the original packaging AND give it several layers of oil so it doesn't warp. Dunno how I'm gonna be able to do both of them.
