Anyone come across these before? Rubbish valves that can't be repaired (without a drain down) You can see the way it comes apart, if you were unfamilliar with them...... Think I'll replace with TRV. Attachment Deleted Attachment Deleted

luckily I realized when the water started showing something was wrong and was able to get the shaft back home and the nut back on before the hot water got there, close call though but, a good lesson, I never took rad valves for granted ever since,

They don't seem that common, was glad I had a spare one lying around to take apart before I cracked open the live one! One good reason to keep old shite in the shed!
