The guidance given for consumer units and Enviromental Conditions and considerations
Consumer unit switches and protective devices within a consumer unit need to be easily accessible to the householder. Access which would require the use of a ladder or similar reaching platform would not be suitable. Thought needs to be given to the needs of the householder particularly if they are disabled, elderly or infirm. In these cases, access to switches and protective devices should comply with BS 8300 – Design of buildings and their approaches to meet the needs of disabled people.
Environmental Conditions
Particularly attention needs to be given to consumer units located outdoors or where environmental factors need to be taken into account. Such locations should always be avoided but if such a location should be necessary, a consumer unit should be of a design appropriate to the situation in which it is to be used. Outdoor locations require weatherproof equipment and weather protection should also be provided to the user.

I don't know the current regs, they used to be that, you are not to be able to reach any power sourse from a wet area, meaning stood in a bath/shower or within reach of a sink or toilet, They are most likely changed from what I know because, that's how it works, they change the regs and the sparks have to pay some fucker to update and test them on it, middle management bloodsucking leeches,

Probably against regs but you could argue that CUs can be found in very cold mouldy damp indoor rooms so a modern bathroom could be no more damp and might even be warmer than other parts of a house. If it's weatherproof enough it should be very safe. But sometimes safe doesn't even matter when it comes to Regs and the powers that be

I think you can but it needs to be in a particular zone a bit like the lights above a shower etc.
This ones in a cupboard and the shower, bath & basin are 5/6’ away from the cupboard so I’m thinking it’s ok. I’ve no idea if it’s a decent one but I’m no spark so fook it.
