Had 2 rad jobs last week, both conventional systems that air locked to buggery. New builds are quite disgraceful ,how it’s all thrown in a rush. Saw one where you couldn’t replace danfoss 2 port because of thrown in pipework .It really is grim when you fighting an airlock 👻👻👻 but nice feeling when it kicks in aswell 🥳when I say new build I mean last 20 years 😹

site work has always been thrown in because everyones on pricework but, since plastic became the normal pipe to install, there's not a straight length of pipe anywhere underfloor, rough as fuck, no one cares just, slap , bank, wallop ,so it dips up and down all over house, airlocks are rife,

When Mrs Miggins has a look at her sparkling new build house, she doesn't ask to have the floorboards up so she can inspect the pipework (and electrics for that matter). She's also probably not bothered about the pipes in the airing cupboard as long as there is some space for her sheets.
That ladies and gentlemen is the root cause of the problem and will maybe never be solved !

I changed a head on a three port valve last week which I put up there as the worst install I've ever seen for such a simple job, it's 31 years old the property and I thought I was going to have to either take the shower tray out or remove the hot water tank
The crazy twats had plenty space - why I ask myself!

Just done a two port head change this afternoon, on a well layed out job and the kettle hadn't enough time to boil before I was paid and on my way out the door!

I wish airing cupboards just had pipes, cylinder, associated electrics, and AIR in them!!(the cupboards, that is!) So much shite gets in the way.
