Me dad phones me up last week. Boiler had broke down and the chap who services it said he needed a new one, so,, Had it fitted last Thursday. Friday he calls me and says I can't work it (standard combi boiler so canna really go wrong) He told me it keeps on coming on at 4 o clock in the morning. I asked what sort of timer it had, he tells me its got a Center timer with remote control . Went over Sunday,,,,,,, What he calls a remote control is a fookin programmable thermostat. Does the timing for the CH, Temp for the CH and everything. The chap who'd installed it had set the time on it and set the Ch to come on in the morning. Unbeknownst to anyone, dad (bless him) had changed the batteries in it because "Duracell last a lot longer" I looked at it and at 2 pm in the afternoon the thermostat said it was summat like 17:10. Silly fooker had forgot to set the bloody time. Owd age ehh, who'd want it ?

Mind some of those multi purpose and multifunction controllers are really twat-full if there set service engineer access only, it means a full reprogramming for the simplest of adjustments!
