back in the day, we made a lead washer then packed the waste with putty/boss white mix and we we came back 10 years later to try and get them out, It was a 4 hour job, Basins have always been the worst job in a bathroom to me,

And when did some bright spark get the idea of sticking a pedestal in the way of everything? Was that the 70s or 80s Tom?

And when did some bright spark get the idea of sticking a pedestal in the way of everything? Was that the 70s or 80s Tom? Yes but you could slide most of them out cinders (apart from the ones with a hole for the wastepipe) but then some arsehole decided to put a lip on the basin to lock it together so you have to try and slacken off the basin but its always bastardised in silicone.

Then another pen pushing twat said to me, " you need to start screwing the pedestal down, there are holes there so use them " I can't work for tossers so i jacked that very day for him,

I've not seen one of those underneath wing nut attachments for many years. I thought that they was gone for good. Don't say they're making a return .

yes Cinders, those are horrid, bastard to fit, the water splashes everywhere and the soap makes the glass manky in no time, the designer should be shot at dawn,

, the designer should be shot at dawn,
Must be the same muppet who designed glass see-through electric kettles. Mate's wife was proud of hers when she first bought it. But what she forgot was we get hard water in Brizzle. Few months later it looked like shoite and was a bugger to descale.
Second time she put some turbo strength descaler in it - it leaked straight after.
