Had an inquiry, woman who has a 1st floor maisonette want an outside tap fitted as there a bit of a garden.
I asked her if she had a cupboard with her water main but apparently no, she wants to go out of her kitchen down.
I then asked her is the downstairs would agree to a tap on their wall. Her reply was no, but I’m not going to ask, just do it.
No thx love, not interested.
Has anyone else had strange job requests?

I was doing a full house refurb in a terraced house, the builder had pulled all the cieling down upstairs because he was building a firewall between the ajoining houses, on one side their water tank was resting on the joint wall so this prevented him from building the wall to divide the properties, he asked me to move it, To move it meant I had to turn off the water in next door and that meant telling the neighbour, That started world war three with the nieghbour, He did't want it moving, he builder said, " its encroaching on this property and you need to get it moved or I'll just fuck it off with my boot " The war esculated and the job was stopped for a month while the builder and the niebour sorted it out, there's nowt so queer as folk, is an old saying from the north, and its very true,

I never found out what happened, the tank got moved and the wall got built and the builder was a prick, he never spoke much to me, I was engaged by the owner and she sorted it out someway, So I'm assuming the neibour moved it himself or got another plumber to do it, Another incident at that job was the JCB driver hit the water mains to all 4 houses in the row, fuckin big GUSH, He paid out of his pocket for me to repair them, easy money cos he did all the digging, I just used connectors,
