in my downstairs loo I had a corner sink which I have replaced with a vanity unit, the sink waste is now over to the left by a inch or so and there is only about 3 inch's of pipe sticking out of the (double) wall, probably a silly question but how do I get it to line up ? I'm thinking heating the pipe and gently bending it as there doesn't seem any room for bends ,am I ok or liable to kink it ?

it depends on the pipe, solvent weld pipe will slow bend with some careful heat and it won't look good, push fit will kink and shrivel, In the past I've used bends and cut them down, you can get a neat little offset if you cut the collar down on both bends, you can only do this on solvent weld though, not at all on pushfit,
as Cinders says, post a couple of pics,

I reckon a P trap is adaptable enough to sort that out without bending any pipes.

thanks, didn't realise these existed Fantastic company McAlpine. A huge credit to Scotland & respected all over the Globe. If thereâs a Soil or Waste system problem theyâll address it. Theyâve one factory near Puller Towers & I did maintenance work there, not any more, itâs the old story; new manager & itâs âOh my brother-in-law just did a 6 week Mickey Mouse course in Plumbing, heâll do it for half the priceâ!!! His Boss phoned me & asked why I wasnât working for them anymore & I told him. He was furious, but like all these companies, he felt he had to support his colleagues. Fair enough, lifeâs too short etc. Great company & fantastic productsđđđ

I agree Dick McCalpine are the very best at making traps , wastes and pan connectors, for the few pence more they cost, is well worth it because, you'll never get a bad fitting waste, the washers are good, well fitting and quality, the threads never get twisted and start like they should, using them is a pleasure, unlike the shite you get in toolstation the difference is like chalk and cheese , And shame on that manager Dick, He will have found out by now that using a 6 month Mickey Mouser has probably cost him double by now,
