I went to fix a toilet today. The tap connector had 3” of cooper then a flexi push fit to more copper then to iso.
Anyway, I took the push fit off of the tap connector end, it wasn’t leaking or anything but when tried to put it all back together the push fit just slid off. Strange. Just wouldn’t bite.
I stuck a compression on so no great shake but I thought it was strange it kept slipping off.
Cheers all

That's got me scratching the head! Something inside it worn, rubber in the gripping part?

Perhaps the rubber ring inside had split? They won't grip on chrome tube for very long either. The first time that I ever used them I hastily pushed them onto my copper pipe that was still warm/hot from soldering and turned the water on, the cold water one shot off instantly followed a few seconds later by the hot water one. !
