PTFE on a roll. Because at 20p each, I'm far too tight to lash out on fancy stuff in a tin.
Though I can see the benefit of the liquid seals (Loctite, Slick-Tite, etc) when it comes to doing outside taps or shower arms. With rolls of PTFE it's sometimes tricky to get the thread to tighten so it stops in the right place. Can be a faff, whereas with liquid it seals more or less where you stop tightening.

The old favourite cyinders and still the best. It's presently become out of favour since we all got needlessly scared about the legionella bacteria.

Loctite 55 string is good too if you need to line up a fitting or valve👍

Loctite 55 string is good too if you need to line up a fitting or valve👍 I'm all about the 55, rarely use ptfe now, especially if you've to back it off. Much Easier to get in to packing glands too
