Does anyone know how they work? I’ve got one the is faulty The valve flushed, but the part that the flush button lifts up to allow water to flush doesn’t automatically drop back down. There’s a part near the bottom like of a fill valve that should fill with water & lift up but I’m not sure whether it drops the valve part. It’s this style although this is the more moder version.  |

I'd replace it rocky with a Viva flush valve. Once these valves start sticking they are forever troublesome.

I'd replace it rocky with a Viva flush valve. Once these valves start sticking they are forever troublesome. Yep. Probably fixable but a real pain in the nuts and big user of time. |

Continental flush valves seem to go obsolete in a very short space of time and quickly become plumbing oddities . I've carried the Wirquin plush pack as a van stock item for the last 10 years, however, even these are becoming difficult to obtain these days. It’s this one We meet again my old friend (shudder), these things were the bain of my fucking life about ten years ago. I had at least three on the go all in tiled in cisterns resulting in multiple call backs. Never fitted any from new just asked to repair, the old design had no weight to the blue tube orgh that fucking blue tube..destroy..destroy them all!!! |
