I've just received an email from an agency looking for medical gas installers that can braise 4" pipework, £250 a day starting on the 6th of April in Bristol. I'm gas gas safe registered and I have loads of experience with 4" pipework. Does that make me a medical gas installer? Thoughts please gents.

Sure does longs you can do the cleaning process they deem necessary for the good to go test cert of you have a on site chemist who witness the pipe pickling/ cleaning.

No, medical gas is another set of rules and regs but, in this days of, ' we need this hospital up and running' you will most defo given a chance, they'll turn a blind eye on health and safety because people are dying, like they are sending doctors and nurses in without proper PPE, Go for it, grab whats going, grab the experiance, you can only gain from it, keep us informed ,

just to explain further, I've worked in hospitals and met the medical gas installers, its all silver soldered and tested at 40 PSI for hours, they are on top money and i considered for a while whether to start with them, It meant getting the quals then working away from home, the money for getting the quals would pay for itself in a month, Mrs Plum decided, it was a no no, And I agreed because working away on top dollar is suicide for an alcoholic, sex craved party animal, I would have been dead now from organ failure and a worn out dick,
