Hello
Any help is great!
So, I swapped a siamp Monaco fill valve, like for like & it failed, I fiddled with it & all ok then failed again. A new one arrived yesterday, swapped it today & yes you’ve guessed it, it doesn’t work! Even after trying & testing for an hour it won’t work!
The valve is in a concealed cistern so it’s small. Side entry.
The connection through the cistern is 3/8” brass then it goes to 1/2”.
The connection inside the cistern is fixed to the 3/8 shank and won’t come off so the only option is to remove the 1/2” part & push it out going inside the cistern.
It’s stuck fast. I’ve no idea if it actually screws off but to get it through the cistern it must’ve be screwed on.
Any thoughts on getting it off. Cutting is an option but it’s fiddly with not much room.
Cheers all

Basically the part in the blue circle is inside the cistern & I can’t or don’t know if it comes off. Cheers

It's probably factory pressed on or Maybe a Left Hand thread, why do you need to remove it?, are you fitting a different make valve?, do you have access to the outside of the cistern?.

Yeah I’m going to fit a Dudley so I need it out. It must’ve gone on on the inside surely as the brass shank 1/2” end connector on the 3/8 going through the cistern is too big to go through so that’s why I’m thinking it must come off somehow. I haven’t got much room to twist & pull it which is maybe the problem. I don’t want to take the cistern out fully but it’s looking likely

You certainly get some plumbing oddities to deal with rocky! Is it the cistern on the left?
I've never known of a ball valve that screws out through a cistern wall before but I suppose it's possible. A lot of these plumbing oddities are designed to have the parts that they come with replaced with like for like only and it could be difficult to fit an alien valve into it. A common thing to happen on these Siamps is that the "snap push in" part on the arm has not fully clicked into where it fits onto the valve (if it's the left one). Good luck with it rocky and keep thinking it through logically is my advice. Sorry I'm not that much help here.

It’s a plastic concealed cistern. No room inside.

Work of the devil, those things - same with gate valves.
The ones where everything has to happen through the hole where the flush plate fits over. Swapped the fill valve on one recently. Valve only just fitted through the hole with a bit of fiddling. Like being a bloody gynecologist!
