This is my first ever bending. No practice .Offset, then a 90, (which you can't see), for my outside tap. Every bend was where I wanted it, including the amount for the elbow/tap. Shocked and chuffed! All I have to do is solder the elbow for the tap, (a question on tap later), then connect to the stop tap, dc valve and mains. Sitting down with a beer, (I've just destroyed a new £60 visor..., ) (Any excuse will do!) I have realised the lowest part of pipe will be lower than the tap. Wood bit out tomorrow, for a straight, EASY, run, then, hang the pipe in the front room as a reminder that I am a twat!!! Attachment Deleted

Tom has some excellent videos on bending well worth watching.

Thank you Battle. I have watched Toms many times! Definitely why I got it right! He now needs to make one on thinking before charging in! Though I don't think there is enough memory on the internet to stop a fool rushing...

thanks for the plugs Carl and Battle, its all practice , Someone told me once, you need to practice somethings many times and, when you get it right, you need to get it right 100 more times before you can improve it, that goes for anything and every thing, like a music piece, a football trick, a card trick, a boxing/judo/karate move, a dance anything worth knowing takes practice, So don't get despondent because no one gets it right after just a couple of goes, These guys that learn you how to do it in a vice are a joke, there is never a vice on site so it completely useless , you have to learn how to hold the bender and move it with just your two hands, its not easy, as you have found out but get trying,

In the real world it’s a tight space & it’s not just the pipe strangling you’ve to consider!!

Thanks Dick! I forgot to mention I was on my knees under the house. I found you a while back, and have stalked (subscribed) to you the other day!
A beer inspired moment, I'll put in a drain off, so no worries come winter. The gap in the offset is so I can run the return from the rad. Knackered a spade bit hitting the old gas pipe! I should know better, ahem, but a fair bit of fumes filled the crawl space when I disc cut the sticky pipe...

This one's brilliant, no markers, no pens, no measuring, and most importantly no vice, just getting it done. Great stuff!
