If there’s nothing wrong with the boiler & you know it then you’ve got no problems The problems start with homeowners asking for LL certs & services knowing there’s faults & not being up front. Just because someone takes the front panel off to have a look doesn’t mean there’s going to be issues. There's nothing wrong with it as far as I know but I could imagine dickpuller taking sharp intake of breath and saying "...for your load, you've got 600mm of 15mm pipe there....needs to have 22mm right up to the boiler....I'm surprised it hasn't blown up by now.....". Or worse, he whips out his FGA and says "....the noxos hydroxide peroxide manoxide is giving a reading of a gazillion million. Bloody dangerous that....." How very dare you question my honesty & Integrity!!!!! I’ll have you know I’ve several regular OAP customers, who trust me implicitly, always make me a cuppa on every visit & conveniently leave their purse on the Sideboard for me to dip while they’re in the Kitchen!! Also, there’s several high ranking member of the community, down the Lodge - that’ll confirm my credentials.

I’ve never known anyone having anything dodgy like that If there’s something imminently dangerous they’ll cap the gas If there’s something not up to regs they’ll note it & tell you If there’s nothing you know that’s wrong or bodged there’s nothing to worry about Have you had it serviced regularly or recently? If so, you’d know if it wasn’t to current standard. The Gas industry is unfortunately awash with course cowboys, six week course chancers, that think all they need is a Gas Safe registration to be an expert on everything. I completely agree, with your sentiments Rocky👍

Simple approach Dafty, if we know the boiler, we can advise on the service requirement. A few photos & we can broadly confirm the boiler‘s condition👍

Yes I didn't think a pic of a white box would be much use but then I didn't think the great gas master would let a mere diy pleb take the cover off. Will post up a pic or two in a few days.
