Why dont you just get someone local? My mate lives in Lower Early & is spot on, no dodgy business. I’m sure he’ll be interested & he’s local for any gas work or emergencies needed. |

Thanks Rocky although that's still about a 20 minute drive from here which seems a long way to come just for a certificate. This guy is gonna be directly opposite. I'll see what he says. |

Thought I'd finish the story. Darrel is a really decent guy. We had a long chat after he issued the cert (after doing a number of checks including FGA readout and tightness test). He said the best possible thing he could...".....Are you a non-gas plumber?..."  Turns out before covid, he was running the company with 4 employees and rarely did any work himself. Now he is struggling to find work just for him. |

From your posts I can well understand why he thought you was a plumber DD.
You do seem to have a good knowledge of the many pitfalls that a DIYer will always falls into that a plumber automatically avoid's without even thinking about them.
