Have not lost the bubble don't know if I have one YET !! job today looked at the house has hot Air heating there is a what looks like an instant water heater in the airing cupboard because if you turn on a hot water tap this so called water heater fires up and if you bend down you can actually see a burner and flame ............. Now my problem is I have been asked to change the bath taps that went out with the Ark !! so I need to turn off the hot water supply .......Now the customer tells me she has a large cold water tank in the loft so I thought I could treat it as normal by bunging the tank then turn on a hot water tap and wait for it to stop running do the work then up in loft remove bung and bob's your uncle and hot water will flow again ? But will it or do I have an Air bubble ( Primatic ) and the Air bubble will be lost ............... I then understand I will then need to drain heating system somewhere then refill but which one first so i can re-instate the bubble if I have one ..........Don't know.......

if i'm reading this right, you have a mulipoint water heater in the airing cupboard, if you turn the supply off to the heater, the hot water will stop, or alternatively, turn off the cold water incoming main, if that stops the water, go ahead,

Hi Tom Many thanks for your thoughts
So I be-leave this water heater gets its water supply from a cold tank in the loft so what you are saying really is treat it like a conventional hot water cylinder bung the cold feed turn on the
hot tap where I want to work the water will stop the heater in turn will just stop ,,,,,,then do my job to the taps then just open the new hot tap up in loft remove the bung and the hot tap
will run again and the water heater will sense the water flow switch on and give me hot water once more ,,,,,Correct ??
