So, you fit a tap with a 5 yr warranty.
The tap fails after 12//36 months.
Do you fix it for free or charge labour?

Depends on the tap. Many manufacturers have their own plumbers who will visit the customer and repair for you. Recently I had a problem with a Bristan tap, called Bristan and they arranged with my customer to visit and repair. So try manufacturer or retailer first.
If not, I guarantee a 5 year tap as parts/replacement tap guaranteed for 5 years - because the manufacturer will be paying for those. Labour is only guaranteed for 12 months.. So if tap breaks after 12 months, the custard pays labour for me to repair, and tap manufacturer pays for new tap/parts.
You can't guarantee your workmanship for 5 years, not practical.
