..on the 4 floor of a commercial building today, no stopvalves that works. Froze the pipe and cut above it, happy days, picks up my spanners and iso valve, ready to install,then boom! The fookin ice plug shoots out! Oooooo MoMA! Fookin water hitting the ceiling  then to top it of, get a call back to hot water tea boiler over flowing into sink, it was on same run of pipe work I froze, fook knows what I've done to that.  What more can you do other that turn off the building main stop valve if the floor stop valve isn't any good. Or you could just tell them it a Covid-19 flush, it's recommend on all multi floored buildings minimum flush time of five minutes. |

I think the reason the plug blew out is, when I cut the pipe the residual water left in the above pipe tricked down and thawed out the frozen plug. That's my theory 🤔
