How bad is doing that? Have one section about 2M long I'd like to replace with existing pipes taken from the heating. Its feeding a kitchen tap in the annex.
Otherwise need a trip to sfx. Fking Travis close to our village charges me £7.90 and that is a "trade" reduction. Five pound something at sfx.

Should be no problem with doing that DD. When I was an apprentice me old gaffer would give us second hand pipe and fittings that he'd brought back from the scap yard. What we didn't understand at the time is that he'd lived through two world wars and know of hard times and making do. His name was Roe and one of the other plumbers a really funny guy called Larry would often sing/hum the tune "second hand Roes" when he was just out of earshot !

I’ve just cut out heating pipes & the water is absolutely black. Some pipe looks good but I can’t risk reusing it as it’s a new system, it’d be just my luck that whatever bit I reused would block!!
What’s about the pics of these single Ukraine beauties DD?

When I started my apprenticeship in the early 70’s, they’d stopped using Securex fittings & we’re onto Conex. But the old Boss had boxes & boxes of Securex fittings. As a first year apprentice, I’d still get the job of stripping Securex fittings off pipe that had been removed. Same with big bits of scrap copper pipe, they were always reused. It must’ve broke his heart when metric tube came in😂😂😂

talking of tight gaffers I think I told this before anyway, I'm telling it again In the 1980's I started for a bloke called Jimmy Shepherd, He had a unit and we used to meet in the unit and get our jobs and the materials, So this day he was sending me out on a guttering job, He gave me the materials 12 metres of gutter, 6 for the front and 6 for the back, 2 outlets, 4 stop ends,2 unions 12 brackets and 16 screws, he counted the screws out one by one, I said " just give me the box Jimmy " he said ," no, I give the right amount of screws so if you drop one, you'll have to find it, if i give you the box, you'll just use another and not bother looking for the one you dropped, " He was like that with fittings too, I did't last long with Jimmy Shepherd, In fact nobody did, he was always looking for plumbers,

anyway about the pipes, yea I'd reuse them, I don't see a problem with that on the heating, just have a look inside they are not scaled up or sludged up. Like rocky says, I would't use them on drinking water, but heatings ok,

Cheers for the replies.
I realised I needed some more 22mm and given this is the main supply for a kitchen cold water tap, decided to pay a bit more and get some 15mm too.
Rocky, not allowed to look anymore plus I'm back in the UK now.
