The cheap stuff on ebay is usually refubished and sometimes is ok, check the feedback and what warrantee they are giving, I'd had refubed, boards, fans, valves and heat exchangers and never had a problem but, you need to be certain they are not some wideboy just selling scrap parts, If unsure, don't buy,

There’s guys that go around uplifting ‘Road Kill’ boilers, a road kill boiler is a stripped out boiler, laying on the Pavement to be snapped up by the Pikies or Gypo Scrappies. The road kill lifters, get the nod from the Combi Swoppers & try to beat the Pikies to the boiler.
Now, the Lifters will strip the boilers, test the components & sell them on as Re-Con parts.
Believe it or not, a boiler PCB for example is virtually bullet proof, as long as there’s little history of Power Spikes & surges in the area, they can be as good as new.
My advice to anyone that was buying Re-Con parts, Test them & learn how to test them. Don’t sell them to customers as new, but as Re-Con components. You can still make lots of money on them, but know what you’re fitting👍👍👍 HTH
