Hi guys cheapest supply for this unit. I am on 5 year cover.
Having had a service every year....but just in case they find a 'clause' that I missed so they dont have to honour the guarantee. (such as my great grandparents not living in the house with us...lol) JIm

hi Jim, if you;ve had the services they cannot wriggle out, (even if you granddad no longer lives there,) wink wink, no boiler parts are cheap because, its a money making industry, But, if the worst comes to the worst, look on ebay, there are always cheap parts, some nicked, some aquired by parts people in stores and some 'so called engineers' order wrong parts, when they do that, the supplier won't take um back, so they get what they can on ebay, all in all its a mine field, the gas board give 'fixed price' repairs, their engineers are no better than anyone elses but. they don't like complaints and they'll send a supervisor over to sort it, so, buy parts and chance it, or pay the rip off gas board and be asured of a good end result, eventually

Thanks Tom. Obviously when the contract runs out i wont be able to do the repairs myself. As gas boilers are far to complicated for the likes of me. You know, with those PRV's, pumps, EV's, pressure switches, fans, thermostats, changeover valves. condensate traps, magnaclean units.
Guess i will have to stick to repairing the likes of the non working full colour laser i found when I moved into our present place.
