I use tec tight classic alot and you can release them and change for new. Only had 1 fail/leak on me since I've been using them. I always witness mark my pipe before I fit them,as they can blow off if not pushed home correctly. They're bit ugly too, but so am I so I don't care😁😁😁😁

We use Tectite tap connectors on New Builds, they’re cheaper than any PF tap connectors, strange but true!! Never had a problem with them👍

endfeed, why would you only use the brass ones (I think thats what the classic are?) and not the copper? Also dickpuller, if you've gone to the trouble of piping up the tap in rigid copper why would you use push fit at all?

If the job is seen I will use them. P.s the classic Tec tight is non conductive so you have to be careful where they are used, for example teeing into the middle of a mains feed pipe..👍

Its long been thought that Dafty is pulling our chains, his work is neat and tidy and would put a 'proper' DIY DAFTY to shame, is he perhaps one of the old plumbers who wound us up from screwfix, pretending to be a ex squaddie , done a 6 month course, If it is, fair play, we love a wind up on here, if its not, Still fair play Dafty, I had a hard time going through the transition from soldered copper to pushfit but, I was forced to use it on the sites and found out, its the way to go, It reminded of me of my early years, when i was 16 and the old heads were saying, " this copper is too thin, it will never last as long as lead does", They had to change because things move on, So I've learned, Embrace change, you cannot stop it, push fit is here and its not going away, Every day is a skool day,

Definitely not trying to wind anyone up. I may not be as much as a dafty as I used to be but I definitely have my moments.
It is very kind that many of you have commented on the quality of my work. I enjoy plumbing when it goes well but I am 100% not a plumber and could never charge for my work.
I like the brewcabin because I get down to earth advice even including stuff to do with gas. I hate those places where a subject is off limits.
The only thing it needs is a communist/marxist to balance out the politics haha. That's definitely not me though - I'm middle of the road.
Oh and I like most of the jokes - especially the ones you're not supposed to find funny as they are often the funniest.
