Apparently flexi's can cause legionnaire's, (load of bollocks)so if taps got flexi's we can't re use! The water hygienist's (where did that job come from?) have been putting the fear of god into local councils by telling them legionella can breed in the rubber flexi's and that they now all have to come out! Legionella lives in all water, it always has fact. It is mainly an harmless bacteria unless it is allowed to breed into vast quantities (like in a very little used large water storage tank). If the stored water gets heated to between 20 to 40 degrees the bacteria can multiply into vast quantities (it's still safe to drink though). To have a chance of catching legionella the water then needs to be inhaled into your lungs in a mist form that is thinner than an human hair. So you've certainly got to go something in order to catch it, unlike this covid virus! A microbiologist told me all this some 22 years ago.
