The hoses are put on the aav to Prevent build up Of hydrogen gas dp Inside the cover, otherwise it would be called an overflow👻 Could be GW, but if there’s a lot of hydrogen in a system water, it’s not in good nick! WB boilers are the worst piles of plastic shite! When you consider you’re paying double the price of a good boiler, their composite gets brittle & breaks easily. Their designs are done by a 5 year old, a complete cunt to work on & you get cut to threads on the unfinished edges. Of all the manufacturers boilers I’ve worked on, they’re without question the worst. Guys say, oh, the spares are cheap. FFS if it was a reliable appliance, it would never break down!!! They’re fucking shite!! You don’t like WB then DP? Lol

WB really shafted their WAI too. BOXT, part owned by WB, is in competition with these WAI. Cunts!!
Many years ago, I found out that WB were arranging rebates & very favourable terms with a non-Gas Safe registered competitor of mine. If I could’ve got a hold of their Rep at the time, I’d of kicked the shit out of the cunt!!
That’s the type of arseholes they are, all marketing & sales, don’t give a shit about installers.
I hate WB!!

Agree with Dick's last point. Nice job - shame about the boiler. Had a WB boiler for 17 years Broken twice I’m a fan
The older ones were better. But the new ones are full of cheap leaky plastic, especially the hydroblocks. When the right hand block leaks, it soaks the diverter motor below and ruins it. Worscester's answer wasn't to make a better block to solve the problem. They just started fitting the div motor with a rubber jacket. I kid you not! Add to that prvs and expansion vessels that you have to take the boiler off the wall to replace and heat exchanger seals that aren't good and the general pain in the arse of fixing them - there's better boilers out there for less money.
I know of people who have binned 8 year old Greenstars because as soon as they fixed one leak, they had another. One customer's leaked when he was on hols and made his kitchen cabinets swell up and were ruined. Spares are cheap, but you will need plenty of them. People feel confident in them because of the name and high price. It's a con. Boilers that are much cheaper have proper brass components inside.

I feel boilers have followed the car industry - there built as a one time assembly items, any repairs risk damage to totally unrelated areas just to get to the faulty item, from palstic panel fixings, PCBs especially the connectors etc
Now this is ok for the dealer as there given all parts claimed for but you as an independent either have to take the hit or have a very understanding customer!

With WB, you’re paying a high price for a below average product. You’re paying for their marketing wank!!
