That loft area must have good access for that size cylinder Rocky?
I'm suprised you not putting an additional floor support structure in?

That loft area must have good access for that size cylinder Rocky? I'm suprised you not putting an additional floor support structure in? It’s a 180l It’s on a bit where there are 3 joists together. It just about fitted. Anything bigger & there was no chance. A slimline was too tall & horizontal was £300 more.

The loft hatch was 565mm when the 25mm surrounding was removed. I think the cylinder is 550mm
It was tight

Now I know you’re just waiting for my valued observations Rocky & as an artisan of 46 years in the Trade, you’ll hang on my every word!!
The Circulation Pump should be turned 90degrees, it’s on it’s back & will trap air. Nice Pump Valves though💋
These Auto Air Valves, while helpful at purging air, will give problems in later years - always best to fit manual ones. Lots of boiler manufacturers now fit a wee hose on their AAVs, because they leak so frequently.
While the pipework is very neat & tidy. There’s more elbows than Gazza in the Penalty Box, we need more 90degree bends.
****I stand corrected Rocky, I now see the Talon Spacers*****
But the biggest problem is the Boiler, who the fuck picked a Whooshitter Botch Boiler, OMG they’re fucking crap, aye overpriced crap!!
So, after some considerable debate with the voices in my head, I can only award a 6 out of 10.

Agree with Dick's last point. Nice job - shame about the boiler.

Could it be the older Worcester boilers were made better? I've no idea just asking the question.
My ideal rd1 3100 has been going since last century. The only thing that ever went wrong with it was the thermistor which I got for a few quid off ebay. Tom advised me not to change it unless it totally packs up as it is a reliable boiler so I won't. The only guy to ever service it some years ago slightly embarrassed said "....to be honest theres not much to be done servicing these...just clean 'em up a bit and check 'em..." so I've not had it serviced since. Also passed a landlord safety test (as thinking of letting out) a couple of months ago no problem.
Do the WB just have too much plastic bits in them ? Why do they go wrong?

I think they’re as good as you can get People say whatever they like Some people would say glow worm are number 1.

The hoses are put on the aav to Prevent build up Of hydrogen gas dp Inside the cover, otherwise it would be called an overflow👻

WB boilers are the worst piles of plastic shite! When you consider you’re paying double the price of a good boiler, their composite gets brittle & breaks easily. Their designs are done by a 5 year old, a complete cunt to work on & you get cut to threads on the unfinished edges. Of all the manufacturers boilers I’ve worked on, they’re without question the worst. Guys say, oh, the spares are cheap. FFS if it was a reliable appliance, it would never break down!!! They’re fucking shite!!
