Hi all,
Got a quick question for you if I may...
I've got an ancient baxi 105e (not even condensing)
It was here when I moved in over 10 years ago.
It's never had a room stat. Just runs based on the Ch temp setting on the boiler.
Is this a common thing to do?
Why would it have been installed this way?
Would it be better if I fitted a stat?

Great advice as always by Tom. Another alternative is a Wireless programable Room Thermostat. Easy to fit & wire, these are commonly fitted with a combi. I recommend this one; www.ephcontrols.com/section/cp4/ |

If you like your whole house warm, put it in the draughtiest place, usually the hall, because the front door will cause heat loss when its open, If you like a warm lounge, put it there, The heating courses teach to use TRV's in every room and put a room stat in the room you spent more time in,  brown and pink indeed,  |
