I've been toying with the idea of getting waste pipe slices for years, always thought they were too expensive for what they were, then I noticed Rothy made one cutter that does 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 pipe for £20. Just bought one. Brought it home and cut a piece of pushfit 1 1/2, it just spiralled up the pipe. Tried it a second time and it made a nearly square cut. Picked it up for a third attempt and grabbed it by the blade. Feck me that's a sharp blade nearly took the end of my finger off. Have tried it on the pushfit pipe 6 times in total, not one perfect cut. I actually do better cuts on waste pipe with my cheapo plastic pipe shears that are designed for 15/22mm. Verdict: Not very good at cutting waste pipe but exceptional at cutting fingers. www.toolstation.com/rothenberger-plasticut-pro/p81400

I bought the 15,22,35 & 40 Rothy set. Never used the 15 or 22 as they’re a visit to A&E waiting to happen!! The 35 & 40mm ones are great, one of the best tools I bought last year. However, the 35mm one does both 35 & 40mm. So I’d advice just buying the 35mm one👍👍

I’ve got a set for 32,40 & 50 & it’s superb
If the blade snaps there’s spares in the cutters, something I didn’t know!
