To be honest with you astra, I've never seen one of those, looking at the picture it looks like push fit, I would take all the cistern out and lay it on the floor and work it out from there, that way you can see both top and bottom, there is usually no magic involved, something will twist out or undo, All those posh pettys are trouble , good luck, perhaps Tappy or Dick has worked on them,

Looks like one of these (Grohe flush pipe extension), so yes it's pushfit. Attachment Deleted

Just give it a twist and pull it out.

Need to get the cistern out of hide away but the flush pipe is really tight fit in back of pan so i usually undo the big nut underneath the cistern itself then the flush pipe will drop down then i can remove the flush pipe and then remove the cistern easy But this Grohe cistern is something really different !!!!

If you have to remove the pan then remove the pan. It's easy to catastrophise in this job. Just whip it out and charge accordingly

Hi there i don't really want to be touching the toilet itself as its really BIG Heavy Barsted !! and only siliconed
to the floor and that would also mean fitting a new pan connector ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
All i can say is these Grohe cisterns must be really Rare !!!!!!!!!1
I thought someone on here would have experience with 1-off these.....................
I still wait to here for some words of Wisdom........................

If you really don't want to take the pan out the only other option I can think of is to isolate water to the cistern, flush the cistern and then remove the cistern. Tip the cistern towards you and the flush pipe should come out.
