Hello
Ive installed a Mira Exel EV shower. Excellent showers and I’ve got the same in my house & not a problem in 15 years.
So, firstly ive crossed the pipes, they’re in the wall but no problems as they go up into the loft so I can cut them & switch them over. It’s a simple job.
I tested the shower this morning & obviously the controls are opposite. But the issue is it’s only red hot or freezing cold.
I hope by sorting the crossed pipes over it will cure the issue.
The hot is off of an unvented & the cold is from the cold main.
If the problem still exists after I swap the pipes around do you think a prv on the cold pipe to the shower set at 3 bar will sort it out?
Or, I’ve put lever valves on the hot & cold to the shower for future maintenance. If the cold is over running the hot will closing the cold valve a bit do the job?
At the moment it can’t be used unless you love a feeezing cold icy shower or can withstand scorching hot water.
Cheers all

Yes, what you've discribed is a classic symptom of getting the hot and cold the wrong way round, so when you swop them back over all should be well.
P.S. I know this because I did it myself on a thermostatic mixer tap on a whb just a few months ago!
Regarding the unvented hot water there should be a connecton on the incoming pressure reducing valve from which a balanced supply for a shower can be taken from, so I'd stick my neck out and say it's been done already.
Tappy,
