Gonna buy a new basin wrench after your recommendations on one of your vids. The telescopic ones are about the £15 mark. Wondering if the rothenberg or momument one is the better one to go for. Some people say the rothernberg has a larger head which struggles in tight places. Just reading screwfix reviews

.I'm road testing this at the moment, it won me over because of its slim head, (I believe it's the slimmest on the market) it's not telescopic but you can fit it to your mono block box spanners into it. monument£20. Or £26 from Screwfix with goodies that attached to it..

I've got plenty of tools I've ground down, heated, bent etc. If it works, doesn't matter. The price of tools these days...
This thread brought back memories. My dear old fitter gave me a 1/2-3/8 Snap-on ring. 30 years later, I "made it fit" a job. It did it's job, fucked it self. Right at the end. A bit of me hurt at that moment. But, as he said, "It's a tool, look after it, but use it."
Completely not helpful on this thread, just reminiscing.

The older we get the more we like to reminisce, keep em'coming I say.
That tool was always destined for that job just that nobody knew it 30 years ago.
NB For some reason I once saved an old pot syphon and it had at least 10 years on my van before it found an home in an old dears antique close coupled cistern which was part of an old odd colored 60s bathroom suite!
Tappy,
