Hello
after putting down latex on top of an electric heat mat do I need to then use some kind of bonding agent before I told or can I tile directly onto the latex?

I primed mine with SBR but not 100% sure if I needed to.
Out of interest how much self levelling compound did you put down? Did it level the floor or just flatten it ?

You can use a specialist primer but id just use sbr. Not pva !!!

I have done it yet, probably I’ll do it on Saturday afternoon. I’ve got 4 bags of the stuff. I’ll let you know. So after the latex you put SBR in top? I don’t do tiling so this is all a learning event for me

I don’t do tiling so this is all a learning event for me Before and after I think so that the compund doesn't get sucked in by the dry concrete and then after so that the tile adhesive doesn't get sucked dry by the self levelling compound. Done tiling a few times but obviously I'm no tiler !
