Bloody isolation valves again!!!! Last job of the day 1/4 turn tap valve with isolation valve, tap valve comes out nice and easy, and I'm thinking about the last slurp of coffee in my flask and listing to the radio in the van for the last 1/2 hour. Before knock off time. turn the isolation valve back on and drip, drip fucking drip!_large commercial building! Anyroad, I'm thinking about temporary repairs until I can back to site. Anybody tried this stuff?

I feel your pain endfeed, and this little ditty of mine comes to mind, if it drips when i did't see it I get to sleep and snore all night and when the boss says," your jobs a drippin" I go next day and put it right, as plumberboy used to say, " work clever, not hard " you get no medals endfeed, do your best when you can but, when its time to go home, there are people waiting to see you, they are more important,

Couldn't finish my previous post - for the tape to work you need to stretch it and I mean stretch it and if there's no space to do that action it's just a dead loss.

Just cut off 10" and you'll have more than enough and it works by sealing against its self after you've removed the backing tape - sometimes I tiewrap the loose end if it's not holding its self together. You'll see ลตhat I mean when you do a dry run on a sample ISO.

I have used that tape successfully before. If you stretch it it then shrinks to fit.
Before knowing about that I've (daft idea) used ptfe tape around a 1 drip a minute rad tail. I even got that to work but used half a roll on it with lsx smeared on every now and again. I think the secret is pressure. If you can't get any pressure on the tap the water will find a way out but if its held on with some force it will hold it back at least temporarily and with the stretchy tape is easy to get that pressure.
