Went to hang some rads & the anti vibration bracket inserts don’t fit!!!
I’ve never had it before
Some fit, some don’t.
On closer inspection they’re different sizes.
The insert on the left that’s longer & thinner fit, the others don’t
Before you say it, I’ve tried them on each position on different brackets. The buggers don’t fit.
Now I’m left in limbo needing 8 inserts.
Happy new year all

Coincidence Rocky but funnily enough these arrived today for me: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264963861327They fit but its not a snug/tight fit but should be ok? I had trouble finding them in the usual shops - even when you buy brackets some of the comments said there were no inserts with them. What I can say is you're doing a good job if your insisting on getting them for your customer. The plumbers in this house fitted many rads without since they don't sleep in the same room as it.

I’ve got Williams on the case mate.
They need to be fitted otherwise the rads wobble.
You can bodge it with ptfe but not on my watch.
I’ve never had a problem before

You should’ve asked Dafty. I fit Stelrads & there’s 100s spare.

My brother has a long, double panel rad in his lounge that's quite old. When it was heating or cooling it clicked like hell because the plastic spacers had long since gone brittle and fallen off. I had some spare ones in my tool bag as you often get too many when fitting new rads. When the rad had to come off for decorating last year, I took the chance to add some new spacers to the brackets.
The new spacers wouldn't fit because the slots on the brackets were too narrow. Few minutes with a small, slim file and the slots were enlarged enough to allow the spacers to slide in. Job's a good 'un, and no more clicking!

These wee plastic things are a fairly new concept, 1000’s of radiators fitted prior to this & not a problem!!
